What to Look for When Searching for a Good Game Table

A football table must be mechanically sound. So, while engineers perfected that important aspect, creative design artists conjured up some clever variations on style and shape.

You could choose a sleek, modern, chrome-and-black design that looks like something straight out of NASA. Brightly-colored game arenas that look like they were designed by the NHL. Or a  table that looks like a giant set of Kinnects on steroids. There's enough diversity for any environment.

Which table is right for you? Size should be your first concern. Width is key. Each player deserves approximately three feet of backward mobility. (More, if you are a host who appreciates the inevitable touchdown dance).

You'll want to decide whether you prefer pinball action or roller-bearing action. Do you want motion-detector technology?  Do you like counter-balanced men, handicapping, and double goal capabilities? This is one shopping trip you'll want to take your time with.
